What can you do to help fight World Hunger
There are many things that you can do to help fight world hunger. One thing you can do is eat less meat. According to the website, www.thenation.com’s list of ten things you can do, for every pound of meat, it requires 16 pounds of grain to feed the animals. The amount of food used to feed the livestock is enough to feed the world’s hungry with some extra.
Another action that you can take against this is to conserve energy. Last year, the cost of fuel has rose over the last year. To get the food and supplies to the people who need it, they need some money send the supplies. With natural disasters, and other emergencies, they need to share the need between the different people who need it. With this extra money, it wil enable specified emergency supplies to be sent to the hungry nations.
Organizations that help fight the cause
One of the most well-known organizations that helps fight this cause is UNICEF. UNICEF stands for United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund. This organizations created by the United Nations to help governments, especially in developing countries by improving the health and education of the children. They supply people with clean water and nourishment to help fight malnutrition.
Another organization that helps fight the cause is World Vision. This is a group that allows you to sponsor a child for about a dollar a day which provides the child with food water and education. Last year alone, they used 87% of their profits to help the people who need it.

Other causes of world hunger
One other cause that contributes to hunger is nature and the draughts that occur. A draught is a span of time when there is little or no rainfall. In this time, farmers are unable to produce a great amount of crops that it usually does. In some places where these crops are the only source of food, they don’t get any. An example of this is in Ethiopia during the 80′s and 90′s. During that time tens of thousands of ethiopians died and many others suffered form malnutrition and from disease.
World Population Affecting Global Hunger
In the last 50 years, the world’s population has doubled and it is projected to increase again in the next 50 years. With so many people, the number of resources produced in some areas are not enough to supply everyone there and not enough resources are being sent to aide them. Also, most of the supplies are going to the people who can afford this. As the population grows, and the gap between the upper, middle , and lower class widens, less and less help will be sent to the lower class.
